Fall is almost upon us so that means Christmas is not far away. So I call on all you chickies who crochet and knit MAKE CHRISTMAS SCARVES FOR MY BREAKING FREE GIRLS! Started by my wonderful generous spirited student and friend Marilyn. Here are her directions:
3 skeins of red heart soft yarn or Michael's Impeccible yarn (usually 2 and 1/2 is sufficient the extra for some fringe)
solid colored preferred to keep all the same...any bright
color would be nice (coupon could be used too so the yarn would cost
only 2 or 3 dollars for each skein)
1 heart charm to be attached
K crochet hook or if knitting an 11 knit needles
chain 16 - 18 add one more to turn or if knitting cast on 16 - 18 (no extra for turning)
crochet stitch - half double crochet (loosely not too tight) or if knitting garter stitch loosely
Use 2 and 1/2 skeins add some fringe with extra yarn
tie charm heart at the end
I will put up the po box you can send them to and I will put the official Petite Acts of Love tag on them and hand them to the girls on Christmas. FUN! Keep a scared chickie warm and looking cute this Christmas. Show her we are with her and she is never alone!
