Are you really going to grow up and have beige walls and not live your life in color? Maybe you already have. I know your secret though, how you don't make art but long to, and how many hours you stare at the computer screen looking at the beautiful work other artists are doing.

If things were different, if you had more time. Well, what are you spending your time on? If you really love art, and aren't just saying you love it because you think it's cool to be an artist, but really love it - the feel of paper, the tubes of paint - you'd make time. Stop blaming time as the reason you aren't making art. Blame fear.
But I am here to tell you fear is a WASTE of time. It is indulgent, really. Who knows how little time each of us has here on the planet. The time you spend complaining and feeling sorry for yourself is time you could be spending being an artist. It is nothing to have a journal open and a fine-point pen handy. Every girl likes to doodle. You could do that. You could be a chick who doodles. If you haven't noticed, there is quite a bit of doodling going on in the art world, so you'd be in fine company.
