And so our story begins at Starbucks. Like so many Suzi Stories do.

If you want people to smile then wear a tutu in places where no one does.
Which is pretty much anywhere.
Flowers make Miss Blu happy.
It was very sweet for Sally and Kat and Rhiana to get her flowers.
And a room full of excited creative women always makes for a good time!
Yummy supplies in happy colors.
Sally brought Suzi CUPPYCAKES!
Really, this is the surest way to my heart.
Key Lime Pie and the Peanut Butter and the Red Velvet were the best.
In case you were wondering.
Sally is so thoughtful.
But it was Cynthia, the Glitter Queen, who made me this hat.
The Glitter Queen was very happy that I made a stamp just for herand isn't it ironic she won it when we had the Suzi Stamp drawing?
What are the odds?
Suzi Stamps and Glitter Cupcakes!
The Glitter Queen and Miss Blu discuss the importance of Paper Dolls.
And probably the coolest part of the party was having a real Pirate Girl there.VIVIAN
And of course Pirate Girl Vivian made a mermaid page out of Suzi Stamps
with Gigi riding on a wave of cuppycakes!
And look who comes Crashing the Party!
Gigi Rainbow Sparkle and Finnegan Glitter Sunshine Magic!
Gigi says, "Well Miss Blu we were home alone and it got quite lonely and we didn't want to miss out on your party!"
"Its ok Gigi Rainbow," said Miss Blu as she picked her up.
"Your dress looks very pretty and I am glad you are here!"
" I like having my very own stamps mommy." says Gigi in a quiet voice.
Then the guest of honors showed up.
Holly's Garden Rescue!
She told us that 100 dogs per day are being put down in shelters all over Southern California.
100 dogs.
That is a lot of dogs.
Yes, I know, this is hard to hear. But there is hope because what Susan and the gang at Holly's Garden do is drive to all the shelters and take out the ones that are on the Red List (about to be put down). They favor small breed dogs but they take the ones that more than likely won't be adopted as is. Maybe they need major surgery, maybe they look really bad or are very sick. Without Susan, who lives in a small bungalow in Pacific Beach, many, many dogs, cute dogs, lovable dogs, would have died.
But Susan scoops them up and takes them home makes them well.
Then she finds them Forever Homes.
Like Tia. She is looking for her Forever Home. Look how cute she is!
Kat Baker shared her story about working for a Pug Rescue. But when I look at this photo I can only think of the fact that I am freakishly small.
Then Will, from Holly's Garden (Susan's BF) cradled gigi like a baby and said goodbye!
And my students settled back down to work.
Look how happy Petite Dolls make Gina!
And Norma!
And even though we all started out with the same Suzi Stamps, everyone's work looks different.
Oh but then I got tired and had to sit down. Next to Davielle.
Oh but still not too tired to look cute!
Or to get a new Tattoo! Oh wait Im ahead of myself.
Here is Thanisha. She always looks cute in her Day of the Dead stuff.
So here is our Group! Thank you everyone. Because of YOU we raised
$530.00 for Holly's Garden Rescue and it will pay for many vet visits to get the babies well! See, artists can make a difference. And perhaps our event didn't change the world. But it changed the WORLD for a few dogs.
Oh so my tattoo. Well, its late and I want to get to sleep. I'll write about that tomorrow.xoxo
